2017 Youth Valentine’s Day Dinner

Our Youth Valentine’s Day dinner was phenomenal!  Our youth group got a chance to play fun games, get to know each other, and to learn about the biblical meaning of love and friendship.

Cheers to our youth pastor, Edwin, and to our amazing youth group for coordinating and setting up this wonderful event.  They were energetic and enthusiastic the whole time.  I believe the only thing missing was more time—and that’s good.

When we are enjoying moments with our friends and family the time surely flies by, and that’s a sign that the Lord is present at work strengthening the bonds of what makes Christianity so uniquely wonderful, the bonds of brotherly and sisterly love. Looking forward to the next youth event.

Youth Room Updates

Students have been working hard to get the youth rooms completed. Thanks to the Close the Gap campaign funds, the upstairs rooms in the fellowship hall are really starting to take shape. New flooring, large couches, a chalkboard wall and some new technology will allow Edwin and the students to have a place to connect and go deeper in their spiritual journey.

Updating space and making a conscious investment in the next generation is of significant importance at Sea Road. We’ve been blessed with a wonderful facility but the age of the buildings has begun to show and the need to repair and update has been a theme for the past few years.

We are excited about the growth of our students spiritual maturity. We are also thankful for Edwin who is partnering with parents to lead this group at Sea Road.

Thank you to all that have generously given to make these updates possible.

Understanding & Answering Islam Conference

islam

Join us for a live webcast to be held in the Sea Road Church sanctuary on January 15th and 16th. Cost of $10 and will include lunch on Saturday. For a full schedule and more information check out the RZIM website.

Why are we offering this? In order to effectively lead as many people as possible to discover the fullness of Jesus Christ, we believe that we must be equipped to share the gospel to ALL people. Part of the implications of desiring to fulfill this purpose is to become properly informed and equipped to understand different contexts of those we are given the opportunity to minister to.

It’s no secret that Islam is a rapidly growing religion and Muslim communities are right here in our midst. This conference will help answer questions such as, what are the foundational differences in Christianity and Islam? or understanding what it costs a Muslim to consider Christ. These answers can help us be more effective ministering the Gospel message to those who are blinded to the truth. We are kingdom builders, light shining in darkness, but in order to dispel that darkness we must push forward with the light of the Gospel and truth of Jesus Christ. Please consider joining us and taking advantage of this opportunity to become more equipped to do kingdom work for God’s glory.

If you are interested in attending, please fill out the sign-up form below. You can pay on site and also create a check and place it in the offering during one of our worship services, just put “RZIM class” on the check memo. Thank you!

Welcome to the Bezerra Family!

bezerra

Sea Road is happy to welcome Rene Bezerra and his family to Sea Road Church!

Rene is a seminary student entering his second year at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and will be fulfilling his mentored ministry through Sea Road Church over the next two years. This is a particularly unique opportunity to gain another seminary student in addition to Tom Trask because Rene’s financial needs are currently being met through the G.I. Bill, having served our country in the Marine Corp. Each semester we will be plugging Rene into various ministries at Sea Road where he will gain practical ministry experience and have the opportunity to serve and to lead. We are thrilled to welcome them to our community and our church family!

Man Camp 2015

On November 6-8th the men of Sea Road were invited to “Man Camp.” The annual Man Camp weekend was held this year in November at Camp Berea. This video highlights some of the fun had by all.

This annual event sponsored by the Men’s Ministry is a great opportunity to get away for a weekend of fellowship, fun and food. Network with other Christian men from local church bodies scattered across New England. It’s important to have times like this when men can come together and have fun together as well as corporately worship, pray and share life’s praises and burdens.

You can check out more details at the Camp Berea Website orclick here to download a pdf of this event.
