Thank You for Making our Everest VBS a Mountainous Success!

This year, Sea Road Church “Climbed Everest” for our annual VBS! The whole community was invited for a wonderful week of food, fun, games and learning about the amazing Love of Jesus Christ towards all those he has created in so many unique ways. Our volunteer staff provided a lot of fun opportunities with so much to do, great games to play, and new friends to meet.

New England Parkinson’s Ride

For the last few years, Sea Road Christian Church has hosted a rest stop for the annual New England Parkinson’s Ride. On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Sea Road will once again have the opportunity to help provide this rest stop for the riders in this event. We are thankful for the chance to be a part of this great cause and we continue to pray with those families impacted by this disease and that a cure might be found very soon.

We’re hoping for a host of volunteers to either set-up, man the tables and help bikers get back on the road, powered up with some refreshments. You can sign up using the form below.

New England Parkinson's Ride Supplies Sign-up

Choose one or more ways above in which you would like to help for this event. Someone from Sea Road staff will be in touch soon with details after you sign-up. Thank you!
  • The event staff provides t-shirts for volunteers on the day of the event so if you are signing up more than yourself, please identify how many will be joining so we can plan accordingly. (Sorry, we aren't able to guarantee what sizes will be available.)

Washington County Youth Mission Trip

Our Washington County Youth Mission trip will be July 19th – 25th. This is an amazing adventure to northern Maine to bless the improvised Appalachian town of Princeton. The projects we do vary, but each year the town is grateful for our presence and work. Please consider the following, and signing up for this trip.
Joddie Fournier is planning to lead this trip for Sea Road’s team. We are currently exploring options for another leader to join.
  • Price is $300. Monies go to supplies bought from Princeton to complete our projects, and any excess is given to its people.
  • Ages to attend are 7th -12th grade (middle schoolers must be prepared for hard work!)
  • We stay at a Christian camp, and participate where we can in their festivities. Each night there is a worship service, and a camp speaker delivers a relevant message.

More details will follow for an informational meeting, and on the trip itself. Please RSVP to Joddie Fournier and Tom Trask. Questions? Ask away! Please spread the word to other parents!

Blizzard Worship Service Experience

On February 15, 2015 New England had yet another blizzard. This is on top of the significant accumulation from several prior storms this winter. The timing of this storm forced cancellation of our normal Sunday activities so we decided to make sure and stay connected and share a short video message from Pastor Paul. Enjoy, and share the Love of Christ wherever you are and make it a beautiful day no matter what the weather or circumstances!

Great Week at SRCC 2014 VBS

We are so thankful for the wonderful week God gave us at the 2014 Weird Animals VBS (July 28-Aug 1, 2014.) We had a great turn out and a fun time learning about Jesus’ love, making crafts and playing games. We want to thank all the parents that gave us the opportunity to spend the week with your children and for the volunteers who made the week possible.

Below is a video highlighting the week.

Annual Holiday Dinner

At our annual Holiday Dinner this year, the church family celebrated the season with the tastiest confections of Thanksgiving and Christmas. We all enjoyed some great conversation over the beautifully-decorated tables, festooned with natural greenery and trimmings. The mouth-watering turkey was catered, and our friends at Sea Road brought their favorite side dishes including mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce and more. A host of delicious desserts was also assembled, including scrumptious pies, cakes, cookies, and the kind of chocolates that dreams are made of (courtesy of Dotty Sked!) More than a few were tempted to sneak an early taste from the kitchen…

Overall, we expressed thankfulness for one another and for the bountiful blessings we all enjoy, which ultimately come only from the Father. Happy holidays, Sea Road Christian Church!
